Right? So we’ll put him in a skintight red, turtlenecked bodysuit. And let’s add a pair of thin, symmetrical white swords on his chest because he’s, y’know, a sniper…”

You’re higher on Broderick than I am, but if not as surprisingly good as Hama (& Giordano) looked he’s definitely better than Jones on the past couple issues. Plus while I’d have been fine with more from Tony — based on his inventive resolution of the Ninja’s whole deal, as well as later work of his I’ve admired — it’s definitely nice to see Claremont settle in with a new direction for the series, especially given the nigh-legendary partnership that will be formed when Byrne comes aboard.

Blamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07342343767763035991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7105844689832543332.post-69501515961352710072015-07-13T07:03:07.277-07:002015-07-13T07:03:07.277-07:00Huh. I knew Claremont ported him over from his IF work, but I didn't realize he was the first villain he had Iron Fist face. Neat. And, by the looks of it Claremont made some sort of recurring thing of his PTSD amnesia. Can't really say I'm too into the idea of having a snapping-prone maniac on a team.Teemunoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7105844689832543332.post-44072511479095688182015-07-01T13:27:22.855-07:002015-07-01T13:27:22.855-07:00I think Claremont actually made Warhawk a hero and...I think Claremont actually made Warhawk a hero and a member of the X-Men team, I remember seeing a pic of them somewhere, but he was wearing a bit different, yellowish uniform in it. Really stupid color for a hero, yellow, but I understand you can't flaunt those knives either on a hero uniform so I guess some hack of an artist cooked it up in a spur.

I don't think that comic actually lasted that long though, I can't find any X-MEN issues past about #140 in any listings online. Most likely got cancelled, the markets were quite saturated at the time with awesome stuff like the DEFENDERS.Teemunoreply@blogger.com
